Busy week!

Granny is so much fun!
Boy, have we had a great, busy week of visiting and enjoying time with Granny! I picked her up from the airport Tuesday night. Marvin stayed home with sleeping babies since her plane came in at 8pm. Way past bedtime at our house! The kids were so excited to wake up with Granny here on Wednesday morning!
Yoga with Granny!

We just hung out at home Wednesday and Thursday. We did school. The History/Science word of the week was "excavation" and after studying the what, when, where, whys all week...the boys were thrilled to do a bit of excavation of their own. They took it very seriously, and it took 3 hours to get those dino bones out of that block! Talk about determined. By the end of it, Sarah looked as though she might have been what they were excavating!

My little Excavators!

Saturday morning we went to the train station to pick up my mom's best friend from childhood. Pam lives in Portland and was able to come spend the weekend visiting with us. We all had a lot of fun. The boys were amazed at all the trains as they rolled through the station. We will be taking a train to Portland after we study trains in school next month. Michael and Sam were SO excited to see it up close. Mom and Pam stayed with our crew Saturday night while Marvin and I got to go on a.....are you ready.......a DATE!!!!!! First one in a year! We took the ferry into Seattle and hung out downtown and ate wonderful food. It was so nice to get away and actually talk and enjoy each other! Sunday we went to church. It was the second week in the row Marvin was able to go. He has only been home to go with us 5 times since we've been here, so 2 in a row was just awesome! After nap on Sunday we went to eat at a local Mexican restaurant. YUM! Then, on Monday the boys had their first ever without mommy playdate. They went home with a boy from Sam's class at the homeschool program they go to. Elijah's mom picked them up from school and they played until 5pm. I missed them like crazy, but they had a blast! While they were playing, we were dropping Pam off at the train and shopping to make this house a home. It is definitely on it's way now! When the boys got home, they were in shock, it looks so much better now! When Abby woke up from nap, she kept pointing and saying "OOOHHHHH!" I think she approves! Today we dropped Granny off at the airport. Abby and Sarah woke up from a cat nap as she was getting out. As we drove away, Abby screamed in panic, I think she thought we were forgetting Granny. The rest of the trip home was not pretty, but we made it and redeemed the evening!

On our way to church, we decided to get some pictures since we were all dressed up and in one place!!
